Millwood Impact Food Bank Millwood Impact in partnership with 2nd Harvest will have a foodbank in the parking lot at Millwood Presbyterian Church on Wednesday’s from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Department/Teacher Office Hours The following hours are not mandatory. However, we strongly encourage students to reach out during these times to ask questions and engage with their teacher/classmates. If teachers are holding a virtual meeting, it will be within the hours outlined below. A Letter from our Superintendent All West Valley Families recently received a letter from our Superintendent, Gene Sementi. We’ve attached the correspondence for your reference. It includes information regarding the success of our students, grades and credits, meals, learning at home, chromebooks, homeless support and school playgrounds. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to call the WV Main Office at 509-922-5488. Senior Information Please refer to the attached letter that was emailed to all senior families regarding graduation and grades. Grading Guidelines Established District guidelines for student grades and credits for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year have been established. OSPI Releases Education Guidelines The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) released new guidelines for education requirements through the end of the school year. We are working diligently to develop a coordinated, district-wide increased educational engagement plan. We anticipate implementing the plan on Monday, April 20. Specific information will be emailed to parents/guardians on Thursday, April 16. Thank you for your patience and support as we work together through these unprecedented times in educating our children. Spring Sports Uniform and Equipment Check In Dates Here is the schedule for our WV athletes to check in uniforms and equipment. Collection times will be from 11:00 to 1:00pm at the east end of the building by the tennis courts (please remain in your car in order to abide by our social distancing guidelines. They were recently recognized by KXLY as a Shining Stars! On-Site School Cancelled Until Fall of 2020 Washington State Governor Jay Inslee and Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Reykdal announced April 6 that on-site schooling is cancelled until the fall of 2020. Learning Opportunities for Students and Closure Information During the school closure, Learning Opportunities have been prepared for students. Free Meals are also available for children 18 years and younger. Click the link below for information on our Learning Opportunities, the Free Meal program and our Frequently Asked Questions document. Free Meals for students West Valley will continue to offer breakfast and lunch to any student 18 years of age or younger.
